Last year, I did a post just like this for Top Ten Tuesday…and now I’m doing it again! I’m talking about books that are on my TBR (to-be-read) pile for fall. It’s funny to look back on that post and see that some of the books I wanted to read them are now some of my favorites. (Although I did not get to all of those books last fall. It may have taken almost a year for some of them. Oops.) Another thing I noticed while comparing these posts is that some of the UNRELEASED books on this TBR are the sequels to books I wanted to read last year!
And just like last year, I’m dividing this post into books that are and aren’t released. It’s quite possible that some books that were on the list last year will be on the list this year… *runs away in shame*
Unreleased books on my TBR:
Crooked Kingdom
Gemina
The Midnight Star
There’s a reason a few books are missing from the above list: I’ve already read them! The Sun is Also A Star, Heartless… They would be on the list, except for that fact. But wait! You might be saying. Ava, haven’t you already read Gemina? Yes, dear observant reader, I have. But as I read an ARC with so many pages missing and to come, I decided I wanted to read it again when it released.
Released books on my TBR:
The Accident Season
The Diviners
Slasher Girls and Monster Boys
The Goldfinch
Bone Gap
The Reader
As I Descended
What does your fall TBR look like? Are there any similarities from my list to yours? I hope fall is a great reading time for you!
*hugs*,
Ava
Pretty much all the books that are unreleased I want to read😂

I just bought The Reader last weekend, so it’s definitely on my Fall TBR. I also got my hands on Six of Crows, finally! If I fall in love with it as much as people say I will, then I’ll probably go out and buy Crooked Kingdom ASAP.

The Accident Season and Bone Gap are like TWO OF MY MOST FAVOURITE NOVELS OF EVER SO I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM. *twirls around happily* Eeeep! I always suck at making solid TBRs for a season because I change my mind too often. hehe. But I do really hope to read Gemina (!!!) and Heartless and Nevernight at some point before the end of the year. and I’m currently reading Crooked Kingdom which makes me ALL sorts of happy. ❤

Ahhh! I can’t wait to read Gemina! I have a countdown on my phone to when it arrives.
I read The Diviners a few months ago, and I just didn’t get into it. However, everyone I’ve spoken to really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading your review!

I’m dying to read Crooked Kingdom (where is my copy?), Gemina and the Midnight Star, just like you! Oh, it seems like you chose to read many paranormal/creepy books for this season, it’s perfect. I actually read the Accident Season, Slasher Girls and Monster Boys and Lair of Dreams near Halloween last year. I’m really excited to read As I Descended – even if I didn’t put it on my TBR – I’ve heard amazing things about it! 🙂

If you love magical realism books, you will love The Accident Season. It was one of my favorite reads of 2015.

I only learned of The Accident Season a few days ago, and everyone I’ve mentioned it to has been really excited about it. It’s good to hear my bookish friends recommending it too!

The Goldfinch is definitely a tome, but it’s worth it in the end! The novel is so dark and mysterious and compelling that even though it’s really long I had a hard time putting it down. I hope you enjoy it, and happy fall! 🙂
